Practicing Physician, Dr. John Gaudet joins the show to discuss his experiences living with Muscular Dystrophy, while having a successful career in medicine. He will also talk about invisible or "not-so-visible" disabilities and the challenges that come with them.
Dr. John Gaudet has been practicing pediatrics in Hattiesburg, MS for fourteen years. He started Children’s Medical Group of Hattiesburg when he began his practice, which has now grown to three doctors. He’s involved in teaching students at William Carey University and University of Southern Mississippi, and has faculty appointments at three universities. He holds the Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Alabama and did his undergraduate work at Auburn University. He completed his postgraduate training at Carolina’s Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina and University of Mississippi in Jackson, MS. Dr. Gaudet uses a power chair due to muscular dystrophy and participates in wheelchair tennis and power soccer.
