Dr. Nanette Silverberg MD, FAAD, FAAP
Pediatric Skin Conditions
Dr. Nanette Silverberg, a pediatric dermatologist, comes on the show to discuss acne and other common skin problems of adolescents.
Dr. Silverberg, graduated from and trained in Pediatrics and Dermatology, and completed a Chief Residency in Dermatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and Children’s Medical Center of Brooklyn. After residency, she completed pediatric dermatology fellowship at Children’s Memorial Hospital of the Northwestern University Medical School, Chicago, Illinois. Since fellowship, Dr. Silverberg has acted as Director of Pediatric and Adolescent Dermatology at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center (Continuum Health Partners) in New York City and is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, also in New York City. Dr. Silverberg is board certified in dermatology and subspecialty certified in pediatric dermatology and is on the subspecialty board in pediatric dermatology of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Silverberg is Senior Associate Editor of the journal Cutis (Index Medicus). She has served on a number of committees for the American Academy of Dermatology including the Youth Education and Healthcare Finance Committees and the Performance Measurement Workgroup. Dr. Silverberg also serves on the Committee for Research in Pediatric Dermatology of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology. Dr. Silverberg has over 150 scholarly texts and book chapters relating to pediatric dermatology. She has won numerous awards and has been named to Best Doctors in America, New York Super Doctors, Top Doctors in America and Castle Connolly, 13th and 14th Editions.
