Dr. Vic Strasburger joins the show to help parents understand the impact media has in our children's lives, while offering tips on managing time spent with various media. Guest Info Dr. Vic Strasburger is currently Chief of the Division of Adolescent Medicine, Professor of Pediatrics, and Professor of Family & Community Medicine at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from Yale College (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa), where he studied fiction writing with Robert Penn Warren. He went to Harvard Medical School and did his pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital in Seattle, Children’s Hospital in Boston, and Paddington Green Children’s Hospital in London. He completed an Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Strasburger has authored more than 150 articles and papers and 8 books on the subjects of adolescent medicine, and the effects of television on children and adolescents.
