Topic Info
It wasn't too long ago that physicians told heart patients to "take it easy…stay in bed." Today, there is little doubt that the impact of lifestyle changes, including exercise, can dramatically prevent, treat and even cure many of these ailments. Shanna Gilbert, a licensed clinical exercise physiologist on staff at Memorial Hospital, discusses the importance of exercise to prevent—and treat—heart disease.
