Adam deJong, MA is the Cardiology Manager at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan and is a faculty lecturer at in the School of Health Sciences at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. He earned his Bachelors of Applied Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Exercise Science from Central Michigan University. He is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. He currently serves on the American College of Sports Medicine Committee on Certification and Registry Boards as chair of both the Continuing Education Committee and International Certification Committee, as well as on the Program Planning Committee for the ACSM Summit. In addition, he serves as chair of the Leadership Committee and as a member of the Affiliate Link, Website, and Program Planning committees for the AACVPR. He is certified as an ACSM Exercise Specialist and is an Associate Editor for ACSM’s Health and Fitness Journal. He has presented original research at international, national, and state meetings, and has authored or co-authored over 90 abstracts, book chapters, and journal articles.
