Guest(s) Christopher Berger, Ph.D. Topic Staying Healthy While Traveling Topic Info Dr. Berger is the chair of ACSM’s Task Force on Healthy Air Travel. With many people traveling this winter for the holidays, it’s a relevant time to cover staying healthy while traveling. Dr. Berger can speak about the effects and drawbacks of (and recovery from) jet lag; best ways to exercise while on the road; how to get some exercise in at the airport while waiting for a flight; and may also be able to speak to healthy holiday eating and avoiding weight gain around the holidays. Guest Info Christopher Berger, Ph.D., CSCS is currently an exercise physiologist with the Kinesiology and Wellness departments at the University of Kentucky. Chris’ research interests involve study of the influence of resistance training on weight management. Chris completed his undergraduate work at Arizona State University and earned an M.S. in Sports Medicine at the University of Oregon before completing a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology at the University of Kentucky. He is CFAS instructor-certified by the American Red Cross and is also a certified member of both the National Strength and Conditioning Association and American College of Sports Medicine where he chairs the ACSM’s Task Force on Healthy Air Travel.
