A graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, Jim Murphy, PT, ATC, is the coordinator of Memorial Hospital Sports Medicine and head athletic trainer at McNeese State University. As such, he oversees the Sports Medicine Outreach Program at 22 area high schools and McNeese Athletics. He has received several commendations for his work as an athletic trainer, including being named to the Louisiana Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame and as the Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association’s Trainer of the Year Award.
