Recently designated a major teaching hospital, Lake Charles Memorial collaborates with the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans to provide family medicine residents the specialized training necessary to treat the whole family, the whole life span, the physical and mental health of each individual. Dr. Alan LeBato, Medical Director and a clinical instructor with the Memorial/LSUHSC Family Medicine Residency Program, discusses what a residency program means for southwest Louisiana.

A board certified family medicine physician, Dr. Alan LeBato is the Medical Director and a clinical instructor with the Louisiana State University Health Services Center-New Orleans Family Medicine Residency Program at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. He is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans and the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. He completed his residency at W.O. Moss Regional Hospital in Lake Charles.
