State-of-the-art Orthopaedic Procedures: Treating degenerative conditions of the spine
Topic Info
Degenerative diseases of the spine usually afflict the elderly, but can be diagnosed in young adults, as well. In fact, they are a major cause of chronic disability in the adult working population. Locating the source of the pain can be an arduous task, since the pain can originate from joints, bones, ligaments, and intervertebral disks. Joining us today is a renowned expert in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Alpesh Patel of the University of Utah Orthopaedic Center. Our discussion will focus on treating spine trauma, degenerative conditions of the spine and surgical techniques that assist in recovery. Also joining us is patient Dale Harrell who will share his personal experiences to help you understand what to better expect.
