Albright, M.D., Sports Medicine Expert in pediatric orthopedics joins Melanie Cole M.S. to discuss youth sports injuries. He will discuss how to prevent them, and what treatments are available if your child gets injured. Guest Info Dr. Albright is the Sports Medicine Expert at Pediatric Orthopedic Faculty Practice. He is board certified in Orthopedics and fellowship trained in pediatric orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Dr. Albright serves as The Director of Sports Medicine of the Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Program. Dr. Albright graduated from The University of Michigan before earning his/her medical degree from The University of Iowa. He went on to complete an internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Following his Orthopedic residency, Dr. Albright completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at the San Diego Children's Hospital/UCSD. Dr. Albright then completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center; making him one of less than 20 surgeons in the United States trained in both Pediatric Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Dr. Albright is internationally recognized as one of the teachers of the Ponseti Clubfoot casting Method, as well as being on national and international expert panels for the treatment of young growing athletes and their injuries. Dr. Albright maintains a full scope surgical practice in pediatric orthopedic surgery and Sports Medicine with an emphasis in Arthroscopy, Ligament Reconstruction of the knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle and hip as well as Clubfoot.
