Dr. Scott Mendelson, author of "Beyond Alzheimer's" joins the show to discuss in-depth analysis of Alzheimer's and Dementia related issues, including cause, and prevention and treatment.

Scott Mendelson, the author of "Beyond Alzheimer's", is currently a Consult Liaison Psychiatrist at the Roseburg VA Medical Center in Roseburg, Oregon. He graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1996, and then completed a four-year residency in psychiatry at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville. His first book, Metabolic Syndrome and Psychiatric Illness, has been called "magnificent" by his peers, and the Journal of the American Medical Association called his work on the link between diabetes, obesity and psychiatric illness "brilliant and scholarly." Dr. Mendelson lives in Roseburg, Oregon.
