Leading Cardiologist, Dr. James Young joins the show to offer listeners some lifestyle tips on what they can do to protect their cardiovascular health.

James Young, MD, is professor of medicine and executive dean of the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Young is a heart failure and heart transplant cardiologist who has participated as a lead investigator in many large cardiovascular clinical trials. He has authored or co-authored over 500 scientific manuscripts, as well as several textbooks. Dr. Young states he is most proud of the following professional contributions: the development and administration of organ procurement programs; his efforts to secure recognition for the newly emerging cardiology subspecialty of Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Medicine; his interests in the medical humanities; and his collaborations to clarify the pathophysiology and best treatments for heart failure.
