Edith A. Rosato R. Ph, Senior Vice President Pharmacy Affairs and NACDS Foundation, comes on the show to discuss how pharmacists can help you and your family prepare for the new school year.

Ms. Rosato brings 25 years of leadership and experience in the pharmaceutical industry to her position as Senior Vice President, Pharmacy Affairs and NACDS Foundation. As a registered pharmacist, she has a deep commitment to the advancement of community pharmacy and the integral role of the pharmacist in the health care delivery system.

Ms. Rosato leads the Pharmacy Affairs department in addressing the current and future challenges of operational and pharmacy practice issues in order to assist chain member companies to advance the effectiveness and profitability of their business and to deliver the highest quality, cutting edge health care to patients.

Ms. Rosato also oversees the activities of the NACDS Foundation, the education, research and charitable affiliate of NACDS. It provides scholarships for pharmacy students and supports pharmacy education programs that address the needs of community pharmacy practitioners. Through its charitable giving, the Foundation supports community initiatives that can improve the health and welfare of patients. The Foundation also awards grants for research programs that utilize pharmacist’s expertise in medication therapy to improve patient health outcomes.

Prior to joining NACDS, Ms. Rosato held senior positions at Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceuticals in Philadelphia. She was responsible for the development of corporate sales and product distribution strategies as well as customer marketing programs for the managed markets division. Ms. Rosato also served as a corporate pharmaceutical buyer for CVS Pharmacy in Woonsocket, RI.
