Eczema is a chronic skin disorder that involves scaly and itchy rashes. Eczema is most common in infants. The condition tends to run in families.

Acne is a skin condition characterized by whiteheads, blackheads, and inflamed red pimples or "zits." Acne occurs when tiny holes on the surface of the skin, called pores, become clogged.

Dr. Treadwell is board certified in Pediatrics and Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a graduate of Cornell University School of Medicine and completed residencies in Pediatrics and Dermatology at the Indiana University Medical Center. In 1983, she became an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Dermatology at Indiana University, and is now Professor of Pediatrics. In addition, she is a member of the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) Diversity Council and Chair of the IUSM Student Promotions Committee. She has been a practicing Pediatric Dermatologist and practicing Pediatrician for the past 27 years. Dr. Treadwell is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on CME, and the immediate past chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics CME Practical Pediatrics Planning Group. She is also a Past Chairperson of the Dermatology Section of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is now the NCE program chair for the section. She has been named to America’s Top Doctors for the past 8 years. When not involved in clinical duties, Dr. Treadwell participates in mentoring programs with the medical students and youth in Indianapolis.
