Guest Info
Dr. Farzad Massoudi has been a practicing neurosurgeon in Orange County for more than 10 years with clinical interests and expertise in minimally invasive brain and spine surgery, complex spine surgery, brain tumors, and frameless stereotactic radiosurgery, a procedure that uses a focused beam of radiation to treat an area of the brain without the use of a fixation device, or frame, which can be painful or uncomfortable to the patient. This procedure utilizes radiology equipment to deliver precise doses of radiation to target specific tissue such as vascular malformations and malignant or benign tumors, without damaging the surrounding normal tissue.

An undergraduate from the University of California, Irvine, Dr. Massoudi received degrees in both biology and mathematics, graduating in the top 5 percent of his class. In 1991, he earned his medical doctorate from Georgetown University School of Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society after which he completed his neurosurgical residency at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center. Dr. Massoudi currently holds the position of Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurosurgery at UCLA, where he enjoys teaching residents the most advanced surgical treatments of the brain and spine.

Dr. Massoudi is an active member with the Mission Hospital Medical Staff and currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer on the Medical Executive Committee and Co-Chair’s the Credentials Committee. He also serves as President of Orange County Neurosurgical Associates (OCNA) in Laguna Hills, California. Board Certified in the field of Neurosurgery, Dr. Massoudi is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, California Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
