Ruth Nass, M.D. is a Professor of Clinical Pediatric Neurology at the NYU School of Medicine and the director of the Pediatric Neurology training program She also has primary responsibility for the professionalism/ bioethics core curriculum for the department.Her clinical practice focuses on behavioral neurology including ADHD, developmental language disorders, non verbal learning disabilities, and the autistic spectrum disorders.Her research interests include the development of hemispheric specialization particularly for language, spatial skills, and emotions using children who had congenital strokes as the model and the relationship between seizure and epileptiform activity on language and social behavior/ regression in autism.
