Guest Info
Marilyn Hamilton has a career full of diverse experiences ranging from teaching high school, to sports champion, business and non-profit entrepreneur, speaker, consultant and director on multiple boards. When a 1978 hang gliding accident left Marilyn a paraplegic, she adjusted to her new life...but not to her cumbersome 60-pound wheelchair she refers to as her "Steel Dinosaur." One year later, inspired by the design and technologies of hang gliders, she and two fellow gliders started a company designing customized ultra-lightweight wheelchairs. Marilyn has channeled her energy to become a champion snow skier and wheelchair tennis player. Marilyn is an inspiration to many out there living with a disability and continues to be a champion for aiding in better lifestyle businesses and campaigns for people with paralysis.
