Brain Cancer: Treatment and Prevention
For years, brain cancer has been considered one of the most devastating diagnoses. Understandably, since tumors can develop rapidly and impact many mental and physical functions. Unlike some cancers, brain cancer is difficult to prevent so early detection and treatment are critical for the best possible chance of survival. Recently, several advances in brain cancer treatment have been made, including surgery, radiation and targeted cancer medicines.

Dr. Michael Badruddoja earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his internship at the University of Illinois, Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Badruddoja completed his neurology residency at the Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital at the University of Wisconsin and a neuro-oncology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Badruddoja is interested in finding cures for primary brain tumors and is a clinical investigator for several clinical trials. He has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Cancer, the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Neurology, and Neuro-Oncology. He is certified by the American Board of Neurology and has been with the Center for Neurosciences since 2007.
