Guest Info Dr. Sheila Fallon Friedlander is Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Medicine (Dermatology) at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine (UCSD), section vice chief of Dermatology at Rady Children’s Hospital, San Diego; and Director of the Dermatology Fellowship Training Program at Rady Children’s Hospital. Dr. Friedlander trained at the University of Chicago and UCLA Medical Center and is board certified in Pediatrics, and Dermatology, with sub-specialty certification in Pediatric Dermatology. Research interests include the etiology of infantile vascular lesions, and cutaneous infectious diseases; and she has authored >100 scholarly texts. She is a member of the Academy of Clinician Scholars at UCSD, and is President-elect for the Society for Pediatric Dermatology. Her honors include the UCSD Pediatric Faculty teaching award, the Upjohn/UCLA Outstanding Resident Research Award, the AAD Gold Triangle Award, and the Children’s Hospital Physician’s Recognition Award.
