Guest Info
Daniel D. Silverstein, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and treats patients using an integrative approach of conventional and complementary medicine.

In 1995 Dr. Silverstein graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Benjamin Franklin Scholar. He then went on to complete his medical school training at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn. During that time he began an independent study project on the uses of alternative and complementary modalities for the treatment of medical illness. He thus began to forge a path of learning that would complement his formal medical training. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center where he obtained firsthand experience in integrative medicine through the Beth Israel Center for Health and Healing.

He began his medical career working in hospital medicine. While there were moments of intense gratification in being able to help bring about recovery from severe illness, he felt that he could be much more effective helping people achieve optimal health by working with patients before hospitalization was necessary. He switched his focus to outpatient practice and continued his education in integrative medicine. He has had integrative training in Arizona under the auspices of Andrew Weil, MD, as well as through the Institute of Functional Medicine, the American College for Advancement in Medicine, and the Tahoma Clinic in Seattle.

Dr. Silverstein uses a balanced approach in finding the most appropriate treatment for his patient. He combines the best of allopathic and complementary modalities to create a path for healing and good health.
