Guest Info Dr. Ronald Grelsamer joined the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Mount Sinai after twenty years at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. His interests center on disorders of the Knee and Hip, including Arthritis and Sports Injuries. Dr. Grelsamer is a founding member of the International Patello-femoral Study Group, a group dedicated to the study of kneecap pain and instability. He has over 75 publications, presentations and awards pertaining to the kneecap. The education of the general public on the dangers of unnecessary tests and procedures has been the focus of his two most recent books (What Your Doctor May NOT Tell You About Knee Pain and Surgery, Warner Books 2002.
