Gerald Brennock, MD, FACP
Travel Medicine: What You Need to Know Before You Go
Gerald Brennock, M.D. is board certified in internal and travel medicine and has a specialty interest in tropical diseases. He is a founding member of Mission Internal Medical Group in south Orange County where he has been in practice for nearly 40 years. A graduate of Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Dr. Brennock completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine and spent his final year as Chief Resident.
Dr. Brennock is certified in travel medicine by both the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and the International Society of Travel Medicine. In 1992, he was elected Fellow by the American College of Physicians and has held various elected positions here at Mission Hospital such as Chairman for the Department of Medicine, Vice Chief of Staff and in 1986 and 1987, he served as Chief of Staff.
Dr. Brennock has been dedicated to meeting adult healthcare needs in south Orange County for more 40 years. Also an avid traveler, he has collected years of experience from his own travels across the world and spent a year in Vietnam practicing medicine. Beyond the typical pre-travel vaccinations or inoculations, Dr. Brennock provides practical information to his patients to help them prepare for a safe vacation. He enjoys sharing travel safety tips and advises which medicines to pack, which type of clothes to wear and even provides a list of English-speaking physicians, whenever possible.
Dr. Brennock has three adult children and currently lives in south Orange County with his wife Linda.
