He treats a wide variety of spinal conditions, including degenerative disc disease, adult spinal deformity (scoliosis, kyphosis), spinal tumors, infections, and spinal fractures. He is a nationally known expert in the field of computer-assisted minimally invasive surgery using image guidance and computer-assisted navigation technologies.

Dr. Kim graduated cum laude from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center.

Dr. Kim is Executive Director of the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, which was formed in 2006.
