Guest Info David C. Nieman, Dr.P.H., FACSM - Dr. Nieman is the director of the Human Performance Laboratory at Appalachian State University. He has more than 200 peer-reviewed publications in journals and books, 300 articles in health/fitness magazines, and is the author of nine books including Exercise Testing and Prescription: A Health-Related Approach (New York: McGraw Hill, 2010, 7th edition) and Nutritional Assessment (New York: McGraw Hill, 2010, 5th edition). He is a member of nine journal editorial boards and a section editor for Mosby’s YearBook of Sports Medicine. Dr. Nieman is Vice-President of the American College of Sports Medicine and past-president of ACSM’s southeast regional chapter and served two terms as president of the International Society of Exercise Immunology.
