Topic Info
Studies of adult smokers have suggested that enhanced physical activity during attempts to quit may decrease withdrawal symptoms and cigarette cravings. Other studies have suggested that physical activity prescribed as part of adult smoking-cessation interventions may help sustain cessation over time. Kim Horn, one of the authors of the study comes on the show to dicsuss the study that states that adding physical activity to a youth smoking-cessation program may enhance cessation success, particularly among boys.
