Topic Info
Feelings of stress are caused by the body's instinct to defend itself. This instinct is good in emergencies, such as getting out of the way of a speeding car. But when stress goes on too long, your body goes into overtime—with no place to put all that extra energy. Dr. Jean Ancelet, a resident with the LSUHSC Family Medicine Residency Program at Memorial Hospital, discusses stress, its physical symptoms, and ways to deal with it.

For more information on stress or to schedule an appointment with Dr. Ancelet, call Memorial/LSUHS Family Medicine Center at 337-494-6767.
