ACEP Committee member, Dr. David John joins Dr. Leigh to discuss The Medicine Chest Challenge, an ACEP sponsored event this Fall which helps teach families the proper way to store and discard of the prescription medications.

Dr. David John is the Chief of Emergency Medicine at Caritas Carney Hospital in Boston. He’s been working in emergency medicine for more than 20 years. His three areas of expertise are quality and patient safety, geriatrics, and behavioral health. Dr. John has been awarded several grants in quality and patient safety, written some book chapters, and lectured at the national level. He has developed a quality course for emergency medicine which was given at a national and international meetings. He’s also a member of ACEP’s Public Relations Committee.
