What your Physicians Assistant can do for you.
Topic Info
We've all waited around for hours to see our primary health care provider, or called to schedule an appointment only to find that the next opening is weeks away. This situation is bound to become more complicated as our country faces a growing shortage of doctors and more than 30 million newly-insured patients under the Affordable Care Act seek medical services. Patrick E. Killeen and Dr. DeSilva discuss the need for patients to know the role played by all members of their health care team and the increasing importance of physician assistants.
