Dr. Scott Lambert is the R. Howard Dobbs professor of ophthalmology at the Emory Eye Center, Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. The center is dedicated to pioneering research into blinding eye diseases.

Dr. Lambert is internationally known for his research into pediatric blindness treatment and prevention, particularly treatment of cataract in children. Dr. Lambert is presently the principal investigator for the Infant Aphakia Treatment Study, funded by the National Institutes for Health (NIH), which is evaluating the best way to optically correct infants after cataract surgery.

Dr. Lambert’s clinical interests include a wide range of pediatric ocular diseases as well as the treatment of strabismus in adults.

Dr. Lambert holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Stanford University and an M.D. from Yale University. He completed his residency at the University of California Medical Center and fellowships at the Hospital for Sick Children, London, U.K. (pediatric ophthalmology) and Smith-Kettlewell Research Foundation, San Fransico, Calif. (strabismus surgery).
