Toni Torres-McGehee, Ph.D., ATC, ACSM member and Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education and Athletic Training at the University of South Carolina, comes on the show to discuss body image dissatisfaction in male and female athletes, eating disorders and how to combat these issues with prevention and screening strategies within high school and collegiate settings. She will also tackle the issue of making cheerleading a NCAA-sanctioned sport and why it is important to discuss the medical complications that may arise from eating disorders and the importance of cheerleaders having the same access to medical care as student-athletes, especially at the collegiate setting.
