A board certified orthopedic surgeon on staff at Memorial Hospital, Dr. Scott Hofer is a graduate of Arizona State University and the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He completed his internship at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans and his residency at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center/Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Hofer spent 12 years on active duty in the U.S. Army. His assignments included Camp Page, South Korea; Fort Carson, Colorado, which is the home of the Army’s world-class athletic program; Ft. Bliss, Texas; Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri; Kuwait with Operation Intrinsic Action; and Baghdad with Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Dr. Hofer is the only Orthopaedic Surgeon in Lake Charles who is Subspecialty Board Certified in Sports Medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
