Fitz is active in promoting the field of emergency medicine, serving on ACEP’s Steering Committee and Air Medical Section, and as spokesperson of ACEP’s Public Relations Committee. He is also a board member of the Texas College of Emergency Physicians. He served on TCEP’s Legislative and Section Affairs Committee, was a past alternate and councilor for TCEP, and serves on the AMA’s Steering Committee for the Hispanic Physician Initiative.
