Chaunté Smith Wife, is a Mother of Two and Full-Time Professional Living with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Seven years ago, Chaunté Smith and her husband were adjusting to life after the birth of their first child. Chaunté was also adjusting to living with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and was experiencing painful swelling in her hands and knees. She pushed through her pain for a few months and continued her daily routine: working full-time, exercising, spending time with her husband and loved ones, and raising her daughter. However, eventually the pain became so unbearable she could barely walk and could not even hold her daughter.

Today, Chaunté has kept her promise to herself to be her own advocate. She talks openly with her physicians, family and friends about her symptoms; enjoys Pilates and bicycling; and keeps her disease activity under control through medication. Chaunté continues to work full time, and is the proud mother of two young daughters who keep her and her husband of more than ten years on-the-go.
