Lynn Millar, Ph.D., P.T., FACSM, comes on the show to discuss womens health. She will discuss how exercise can help women prevent heart disease, lose weight after the age of 40, help with cramping and bloating, and help with Arthritis Pain management.

Audrey Lynn Millar is a professor of physical therapy at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, MI. Prior to joining the program in 1990, she was an assistant professor of physical therapy in Texas. She completed her M.S. and Ph.D. at Arizona State University (1979 and 1985, respectively), with an emphasis on exercise physiology. She completed her MSPT at Andrews University in 1992. Her research and publications have addressed exercise with individuals with mental retardation, urinary incontinence, as well as shoulder rehabilitation. In 2003, she authored a book, Action Plan for Arthritis, which was endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and has authored several book chapters since then. Lynn has been active with the ACSM and served in many capacities for the Midwest ACSM. She has participated in the Michigan Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association on the research committee and on the Board of Directors, and presented several times at the annual meeting.
